Diagnostic Services

At Airways Animal Clinic, our veterinarians strive to stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary tools to provide our clients with the best veterinary health available.

Digital Radiology

Also known as X-rays, digital radiology services have become a valuable tool to veterinarians when diagnosing a pet’s condition. At Airways Animal Clinic, our veterinarians use digital radiology to get an inside look of your pet’s body, revealing any information that may not have been noticeable from the outside. Digital radiology is a safe, non-invasive way of evaluating almost all of your pet’s organs, including their heart, spleen, kidneys, lungs, abdomen, and even their bones!

These types of photographs also show the size, shape, and position of your pet’s internal system, which is very important when performing any kind of surgery. Digital radiology can be used to diagnose a number of conditions, including bladder stones, broken bones, chronic arthritis, and spinal cord diseases, among others.

Ultrasound Diagnostic

Ultrasounds work by using high-frequency sound waves to produce a real-time, three-dimensional image of your pet’s internal system. These high-definition images allow our veterinarians to see how your pet’s internal system is functioning at the time of the ultrasound.

Much like digital radiology services, ultrasounds are another way of visualizing your pet’s internal system. Our veterinarians at Airways Animal Clinic use ultrasounds to diagnose a variety of conditions. Ultrasounds allow our veterinarians to see your pet’s liver, spleen, kidneys, lymph nodes, and more. Our veterinarians also use ultrasounds to quickly locate any tumors, cysts, stones, or inflammation in your pet. If your cat or dog is pregnant, an ultrasound can be used to visualize the heartbeats of kittens and puppies to ensure that proper development is happening. Generally speaking, ultrasounds do not require any form of sedation.

Call us today with any questions or concerns regarding your pet’s health, or to schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians.
